Install the two ceiling connectors into the two outer inserts on top of the Hicat® & the foot in to the middle insert on the base - if you are installing the unit on a smooth hard floor stick a foam pad on to the foot

When thinking about where to position your Hicat® remember that there is a seam, which is best rotated to the back of the Hicat® once installed - the connectors are set out at a 90° axis to this seam so please bear this in mind when deciding on the position of your Hicat®

Mark-up two connector holes at 80mm centres in the middle of the proposed Hicat® position

Drill two holes in the ceiling at the centre marks using the drill bit - the depth of these holes need to be at least 20mm & we recommend drilling into a ceiling joist or stud where possible

With the seam facing away from you lift & locate the Hicat® into the ceiling holes - it may be helpful having someone on a step ladder to guide the Hicat® into position

After the Hicat® is installed the connector should extend into the ceiling hole by at least 10mm - as a visual check the gap between the top of the Hicat® & ceiling should be 20mm or less after installation

If the gap between the ceiling & Hicat® is more than 20mm raise the Hicat® by turning the feet clockwise - this can be done while the unit is installed by carefully lifting the Hicat® up at an angle then adjusting the foot

Give your Hicat® a good vacuum to remove any loose fibres & remember to give your unit a quick check over from time-to-time to make sure that the ceiling connectors are correctly engaged, the foot is secure & the unit is stable

If the base of your Hicat® moves on hard flooring during boisterous play remove the foam pad from the foot & fix it to the floor directly under the foot - it's best to stick some tape to the floor to mark-up the centre of the Hicat® base in its installed position then tilt the unit & fix the foam pad in to position using the tape on the floor as a guide
