Accessory Assembly & Instructions
Hicatch Toy
The Hicatch toy comes with 10 foam darts & Velcro® sticky dots.
The Velcro® band wraps around the Hicat® smooth side down & can be placed in any position but the higher the better as far as your cats concerned - the enclosed Velcro® dots can be used as spares for the darts or stuck onto one of your cat’s favourite toys that has a smooth surface so it can be used with the Hicatch.
Top Secret - the darts also fit into Nerf N-Strike guns so you can fire them from the comfort of your armchair while watching telly (that's what we like to do).
Soft Seat Cat’s Cradle
Gently tension the frame apart to hang it around the Polecat then hang the Soft Seat onto the frame with Velcro flaps facing down.
Fasten one side of the soft seat over the frame then form the seat into a scoop & fasten the other side - the back of the seat should sit lower against the Polecat to create a contoured bed.
Remove the seat to reposition the frame & always make sure the seat is fastened onto the frame & the Cat’s Cradle is stable before your cats are allowed to play on it.
Hard Seat Cat’s Cradle
Gently tension the frame apart to hang it around the Polecat then slide the shelf onto the frame locating the front edge channels first.
Make sure the frame is fitted as tightly as possible around the unit when pressing the shelf onto the frame taking care not to force the back edge channel onto the frame.
Remove the shelf to reposition the frame & always make sure the shelf is fully locked onto the frame & the Cat’s Cradle is stable before your cats are allowed to play on it.
Thingy
Thingys are add on toys for wands that have a string but we have heard of cats playing with them on their own & pet parents getting Thingys to cling to Hicat® units so their cats can climb up & fetch them - customers have also reported back that the can also be hung between the ribs on coir units for your cat to fetch.
Stick Thingy
Stick Thingys have been made in various long, short, miniature, oversized, designs but the are all used as a interactive wand toy & for some cats a play on your own thing or something to show off & carry around - they can all be tailored to your cat’s play preferences by cutting extra slots into the felt flaps to create more movement when playing or even go crazy by cutting off one side of the felt flaps to mix things up.
Stick Thingy-Me-Jig Kit
This kit comes with felt that can cut into two flaps of your chosen length & design then glued onto the stainless steel rod making sure the glued section is approximately 1cm onto the rod between the felt flaps- you can also cut a single flap & have a short piece of felt that just covers the glued section of the rod, which will mean you will have more felt left over for another single flap design but you can also experiment with you own materials for example using old shoe laces, ribbon, string, cardboard, fabric strips or even old pieces of cat toys.
Dotti
These felt discs can be used on a wand, throwing toy or pushed between the ribs on our AVM Wool units to initiate a place & fetch game for your cat.
MDF Insert
Place the insert over a Climb-Through or Worm Hole Shelf then cover with a Twist Pile Insert, Pad or your cat’s favourite blankie.
Twist Pile Insert
These can be used over MDF inserts to create a Full Shelf sized bed or just added into compartment to double up as an easily removable/replaceable/cleanable mat if your cat is prone to having little accidents in their Hicat®.
Pad & Fat Pad Cushions
These cushions can be placed in Compartments & Recessed Tops to make them more comfy - they can be placed over MDF Inserts or wedged in Compartments that have headroom internally above the Access Holes to create a reduced height area for snuggling into, especially during winter months.
