Bespoke Bobcat Fabrication...

As shown on Instagram recently we’ve just made a Bespoke Bobcat for our out of town Hicat® R&D team in Chichester - the unit is finished in Mississippi Wool with Cotton twist Pile internals & the difference in pile thickness between carpets meant that we had to come up with some design modifications so that carpets seams were the same height where they met on various features of the unit.

Access Holes had internal inserts added around the finishing pattern to line up pile heights, the Recessed Top was beefed up to match the thickness of the walls around the Access Holes whilst the bottom of the unit had a special reduced height end cap assembly for the external wrap, which is about half the pile height of AVM Wool & Coir.

Cassius & his team are currently testing the piece along with a special Stick Thingy that has four fingers at one end, eight at the other - the Bobcat has passed all of the initial quality checks & we’ll let you know if the same goes for the Stick Thingy.
