Emergency AVM Wool Repair...

A customer recently got in touch to say that the seam on their Polecat was fraying so we had to carry out an emergency repair to get the unit back in operation ASAP - we think that our repair has done the trick but wanted to highlight this in case other customers experience a similar issue.

We have not come across this before with any of our AVM Wool units but have seen a similar problem on a Rustica Wool unit - our AVM Wool units at home have actually been going strong for more than six years & do show signs of wear & tear in terms of felting up as expected but we’ve never had any issues with the seams becoming frayed.

The issue has arisen because we’ve stupidly cut the back seams to close to the weave on one of the edges as you can see in the photo below & this has allowed the yarn to come away from the backing - we’re not sure if this is a one off mistake but wanted to highlight it as a concern & will always put right any mistakes like this as quickly as possible & at our cost as we’ve done with this Polecat unit.
