Happy Days...

Valerie from Santo Stefano Belbo, Italy, is a returning customer of ours & recently shared some photos with us, which in turn we would like to share - the two Abyssinians are Desdamona & Zoya, two unwanted kittens that 6 weeks ago were in the middle of the Ukraine conflict in Odessa.

Martin, Valerie’s husband made a mercy dash to Warsaw to collect the sisters & they are now at home in their haven for cats - we say haven for cats as Desi & Zoya will hopefully be sharing their Freestanding Fatcat 3 with JJ a Bengal boy (naughty) who was looking for a home & adopted from Texas, Maggie a rescue cat from New York who was saved from being put down in 2014 (surrogate Mum to Desi & Zoya), Sammy was another on the NY list but in 2016, & Chloe, Greybie, Oscar, Ginger & newbie Charlie outdoor cats that Valerie & Martin look after but who are also part of this cosmopolitan cat family.

As you can see below Desi & Zoya are looking really at home but yet to win over JJ completely with their adorable nature…it won’t be long.

We’ve received appeal emails from Change.org highlighting the plight of animals in the middle of the conflict & how people can help - Valerie also sent us some links that she wanted to share.

Off the back of Valerie caring for her family of cats we also wanted to take the opportunity to highlight that some areas in Italy have large populations of stray cats & we regularly help out with a charity called Telefona Difesa Animali in Capriano Del Colle who are doing amazing work to help care for these “free cats” as they are known.
