Leaving The EU Update...

The UK transition period away from the European Union ends on 31st December so the New Year will be bringing in some changes for us & our EU customers - 2021 orders shipped to the European Union will follow the usual lead times, pricing & shipping arrangements but we’ve been advised by HMRC that because there isn’t currently a trade agreement in place orders exported to an EU country will be subject to a 5.6% import charge, payable by the customer receiving the goods.

Fingers crossed, we are hoping that this might change if a trade agreement is reached so will obvioulsy update everyone if & when that happens.

As an aside, we will also have to start to declare our exports to the EU in the same way that we do for orders that ship worlwide, which basically equates to a bit more paperwork for us, not our customers.
