Loved To Bits...

After the recent visit to the Studio from a Wookie Tomcat we thought it would be interesting to see just how much you can love your Hicat® before it breaks your heart - with that in mind we are going to start a Loved To Bits blog series to document the most serious heart breakers.

In 2016 we donated a Tomcat to Telefona Difesa Animali, a cat charity based in Capriano del Colle, Italy - after 5 years of daily use by up to 30 cats in the charity’s recreation room they have been in touch to say that their unit is now in need of a different type of love.

The unit has been shredded on the back seam down to the laminated fibreboard core & the front access holes have been stripped back from the wrapped edges - we’ve never seen a unit loved to bits as much before.

Even in this state it’s not the end of the love affair - we looked at options for replacing the unit & have since fabricated a Polecat for the centre to use in their recovery room but Pearl from the charity is adamant that the Tomcat must be repaired so we’ve sent enough Natural Coir for the unit to be completely recovered.

We wouldn’t & couldn’t normally recover a unit as we note on our FAQs page but the charity is adamant that they want to give it a try themslves with some guidance from us - we’ll post some piccies once the handy work is complete.
