Wookie Tomcat

We’ve just completed a studio repair on a 10 year old Tomcat that was looking more Wookie than Tomcat in places - years of use has taken it’s toll but we were able to get the unit fit for purpose again by patching in a contrasting Peat Coir band across the badly worn areas that have been used for some serious scratching & re-bonding sections that have come away from the core through long term climbing, then re-seamed the unit.

This is actually the Tomcat’s second visit to our studio as it was adapted around five years ago when we cut down the unit at both ends so that it could be used in the customer’s new home, which has a slighly shorter ceiling height - we really enjoyed getting this Tomcat back in shape & hope that it continues to be loved to bits after it’s latest studio visit.
