Shipping Smiles (For A Change)...

After a slew of Shipping Woe blogs it makes a nice change to report on some positives with couriers & delivery services - as mentioned in a Pricing Update blog our DHL account rates for European road deliveries have reduced significantly with the introduction of an economy services & it’s also been a while since we’ve had any serious issues with damaged deliveries.

As an example of the new DHL rates a recent delivery supplement quote for a customer in Germany came to just £21 for a 2.5m long Tomcat - if you’ve previously asked for a Delivery Supplement Quote that you felt was too high it’s definitely worth getting in touch & asking us to re-quote with the new rates.

The change to cardboard packaging must be a contributing factor to the unscathed courier deliveries but we do sense that the couriers have up’d their game as well - we still have a few dropped balls with regards to delayed deliveries but on the flip side we’ve also had customers get in touch to compliment the delivery service received with Pedal Me & FedEx deserving a special mention.
