Pricing Increase 2022...

We’ve done our best to hold back on price increases over the last 6 months but will now have to review things going into 2022 - some of our suppliers have experienced some severe price hikes this year with one advising that they’ve had 4 or 5 separate increases in raw material pricing & another reporting that their wholesalers have increased the cost of MDF sheeting by 50%.

Courier charges are still on the rise with TNT rates increasing going into 2022 plus we are still receiving some additional surcharges for residential deliveries & non-conveyor handling, which to date we’ve not passed onto customers - we are still waiting for one or two suppliers to confirm 2022 rates but think our pricing will increase by around 8% across our made-to-order pieces effective 01 January 2022.

As a side note on courier charges you can fly to New York & back with British Airways for £324 at the moment - the cost of sending a Freestanding Fatcat to New York one way is around £500 & the poor Fatcat doesn’t even get an in flight meal.

On a positive note buying our carpet direct from the manufacturers has helped minimise increases on these supplies including reducing the price of bespoke Twist Pile options - we will also be offering a 2-4% discount for customers that pay by bank transfer - this is because we can pass on the merchant card service fees that are saved when people pay by bank transfer though this only really works for UK customers as international bank transfers will have a banking charge applied, which normally cancels out this saving.
