Two Piece Polecat To The Rescue
A DHL mess-up has meant that we've had to adapt a 350cm Polecat into a Two-Piece unit in order to get it delivered to our customer in Slovenia - we contacted DHL for a quote to ship this oversized unit as one piece Polecat & then when we tried to send it on it’s merry way DHL advised that they wouldn’t be able to ship it on the normal Express Service & we would need to pay their Special Group Team to deliver it at a cost of over a £1,000, as opposed to the £78 that was quoted & used for the order confirmation to our customer.
We have been testing a Two Piece Polecat design for a while now at the our studio, which is also being used to test our Mini-Disc install, & both are still going strong so we’ve used this as the Bespoke Unit design - we’ve been able to get a very clean cut where the sections join by carefully cutting the carpet then sawing the tube so when the sections meet the join is very discrete.
The Two Piece Polecat assembly has also been tightened up so that only one section needs to be glued - the assembly kit comes with glue & brush so it’s a also very straight forward tool less job for non DIYers.
