C&C Feedback Update

We posted a bumper sized CHAT blog last year on various Cat & Customer feedback so it’s time for a catch up on progress - we’ve been busy actioning most of the topics but we’ve also had a few new ones to think about as part of this update.

Twist Pile Supplies - we did move to the thicker Black Twist Pile last year but have also recently taken stock of the Cotton Twist Pile version as well as shown in our Twist Pile Update blog.

Stick Thingy - we’ve settled on stainless steel rods with stiffer felt for our standard wand toy but we’re still happy to make bespoke versions with glass fibre rods & different felt options when available or you could look at one of our Stick Thingy-Me-Jig kits.

Peep Holes - the fibre & hot melt glue finishing technique has been in use since the original C&C blog so the only thing to highlight again is that a few customers have said that these little spy holes are great value for money add on features as they really contribute to the overall enjoyment of the unit.

SixToo™ Ballast - we are sticking to the recommended 40kg minimum for these units for a single household cat as noted on our SixToo™ assembly page for all sized & shaped cats noting that more cats mean more ballast & adding ballast to the unit is now a doddle because of the mk 2 version with the filling hole located in the Access Hole.

Checkout Options - PayPal was live but not anymore as the fees are prohibitive & we’ve said bye-bye to Hicat® Gift Cards.

MDF/Twist Pile Inserts - we will now be making a small charge for MDF & Twist Pile inserts, which are used to turn Climb-Through & Worm Hole Shelves into Full Shelves, but can still include these FOC for orders paid by bank transfer as noted in our Payment-In-Kind blog.

Hicat® Partners - nothing to report here with the North American opportunities or Japan partner update but we did have some news with Mirko in Australia who has put things on hold with his production for the time being.

DIY Tomcat & Fatcat - our DIY Polecat guide is still being used by lots of DIY’ers though we decided not to publish our Tomcat & Fatcat version just yet but Andy’s Tomcat DIY blog is still there to refer to & we have updated our Tomcat & Fatcat Adaptation page.

Up For Grabs - the Up For Grab draws are in operation but we’ve not had to use them as yet.

T&Cs Update - the Customer Notes have been updated with the most notable revisions being our Payment-In-Kind for orders paid by bank transfer.

Bespoke Customers Own Material (COM) - we haven’t been asked to make any COM pieces since our original blog but as noted previously we are still happy to make units in COM for customers on the basis that we can test the carpet for bonding, seaming & finishing but can’t take any responsibility for the wear & tear or durability of the carpet itself.

USA Import Duties & Charges - since our original blog lots has changed & US customers now have to pay the mandatory 10% import & tax surcharge as noted in our US Customs Update blog.

Retail & Online Sales - we still don’t have any plans to use online retailers for selling our products but we might have some interesting news for US customers early next year on purchasing SixToo™ stock pieces without the hefty shipping cost attached.

AVM Moon Wool - we still have lots of stock of our AVM Moon Wool so no plans yet to order alternative colours until this stockpile is used up noting that we used AVM Moon Wool on units for our new playmates planned for next year after re-homing our old Gang of Fours set up.

Thumbs Up - there have been a couple of updates to our Thumbs Up testimonials page since this original blog & things do seem to have picked up with our online presence, which could be down to our 7.1 Squarespace Update or just simply black cat magic.
