Loved To Bits #7...

The Polecat that was installed in Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium in 2017 has just come in for a repair after nearly six years of service - the unit has been used on a daily basis by the twenty or so cats that reside at London’s original cat cafe.

It was part of an install that included a Scraaatch™ Stand Pipe & all of the wear & tear action has been carried out at human head height on the unit around the upper coir section - the lower sisal section was in remarkably good shape compared to the spaghettified section just above it, which we suspect has taken the brunt of the damage as cats are dangling at this height whilst getting attention from passing humans.

The upper coir section was stripped & replaced with a new piece of Natural Coir, which took around 3 hours to complete - the lower sisal & coir sections just had a clean up & we will be supplying new feet & connectors with the unit when it’s returned to bring it up to date with our current assembly.

This was #7 in our series of Loved To Bits blogs & for those that have a thing for stripping wallpaper you will know that feeling of satisfaction we got from taking the unit back to the bare laminate fibreboard core - the perfect Friday afternoon winding down session after after a very busy three weeks of production post break return.
