Dressing Up Pads Revisited

We’re still mulling over a made-to-order replacement for our discontinued Fat Pad so thought it would be good to remind everyone on this creature comfort upgrade - our new deeper Twist Pile, which is used as the internal finish on our units is really comfy but some customers use fabric or blankets to make Compartments & Recessed Top even comfier instead of purchasing a Fat Pad but you can also purchase your own cushion to place in your unit then dress it in a fabric.

Round cushions cut to size can be purchased online & then it’s a case of choosing a fabric to wrap around the cushion or you can cut to shape then pin the edges to the sides of the cushion or if you are a sewing wiz you can make a removal cover version of our Fat Pad noting that purchasing a cushion wrapped in stockinette is a good move for removable covers - when specifying your cushion 5cm thick soft or memory foam gives a good bedding layer & 36cm in diameter works best for fleece type fabrics that are tucked in around the cushion but if you are using a thicker fur or blanket type fabrics you may need to reduce this diameter.

We should have a Fat Pad option sorted for when we return from our winter break but have made a Flip Fat Pad as an alternative noting that we will adopt the side zip design used on the Flip Fat Pad for Pad covers moving forward as it allows the Pad to be use either way up - we do still have some Pad cushions in stock but will move to a similar made-to-order version of the Fat Pad that we are looking at once this stock has been sold.
