Fatcat Ceiling Spacers Install...

We’ve recently fabricated a Fatcat 4 Floor-To-Ceiling unit for a customer who wanted to install the unit using our Bespoke Ceiling Spacers - these MDF discs are placed on top of the unit so they fill the space between the Fatcat & ceiling so stop the unit from toppling.

Whilst fabricating this unit we reviewed the install options & think that customers who are looking at a Floor-To-Ceiling Fatcat should seriously consider this bespoke install option as it’s actually easier to carry out than the standard install & more flexible in terms of relocating the unit - the only aesthetic difference between these two install options is that depending on ceiling height you may be able to see the ceiling spacers from ground level whereas the standard install that uses a ceiling connector can’t be seen.

This Fatcat customer also had a good measure up before ordering & decided to specify the Hicat® at the lowest ceiling height in the room where the unit was going so she can relocate it into various positions - the difference in ceiling heights was only 10mm so we included 5-25mm feet spacers as well as a combination of ceiling discs to make up this difference across locations noting that the thickest spacer has felt pads to protect the ceiling from damage.
