More Shipping Smiles Update...

There’s been a slight down turn to our smile since our last More Shipping Smiles blog as we did get hit with some additional ghost charges for the UPS delivery to Canada - Parcel Compare charged an overweight surcharge for the shipment stating that it was over 25kg despite the booking & label showing the correct 34kg declared weight.

We subsequently challenged the surcharge drawing Parcel Compare’s attention to the booking information & label, which stated the actual weight, & after a week of toing & froing we were refunded the surcharge - we keep getting reminded by shipping agents that UPS use state of the art measuring devices to check package weights & dimensions but as we’ve seen before these processes can’t be trusted or relied on as shown on our Shipping Woes blog.
