AVM Wool Stock Update

After lots of discussion with the manufacture of our AVM Wool we are excited to say that we are hoping to place an order for a brand new AVM Wool colour called Ash - we had previously looked at this colour variant, which is a light neutral grey with black backing between ribs, before we placed our last order but because of minimum order quantities the manufacturer was unable to produce this bespoke colour for us.

We were planning on ordering another 200m2 of our AVM Moon Wool as before but the minimum order quantity is now 500m2 - this equates to around 5 years of stock based on our current order intake & is a huge commitment for us in terms of physical storage & cost so we did have a look at other manufacturing options but there is nothing even close to AVM Wool in term of construction, durability & price.

This prompted us to put a proposal to the manufacturer whereby we would pay for all of the yarn required to produce 500m2 & then use 200m2 of this supply for an initial order then hold the remaining yarn in stock for future orders - the manufacturer has just agreed to these terms so we are all set for making our first AVM Ash Wool order subject to receiving a sample.

All being well it should be with us at the end of this year & will probably become our signature wool colour given that we’ve committed to future stock & have been trying for this particular colour for years - some of you will probably remember previous failed attempts to get a neutral grey finish added as a finish option for instance our light grey Concrete Coir that we imported but embarrassingly ended up with light green Tatami Coir.
