We've imported various samples of a new grey coir finish for our units & settled on a hue that's similar to the original Concrete Coir that we imported in 2010 - we think it's a great alternative to our standard coir finishes it & will give our units a very distictive look, similar to our former Tibet Wolf Wool finish that was available as a bespoke finish.

This month's stock item is a Wall Mounted 5 High Catapilla™ finished in a Bleached/Natural Coir combination with White Twist Pile internals - the unit can be configured with the Body sections in different combinations & rotated independently of each other in any direction.

We are now up & running in our new studio...everything has slotted into place nicely & it's a wonderful space to be working in.

We are nearly back up & running in our new studio at the Alaska Buildings so things should be back to normal next week - we've already updated the Hicat® website with various tweaks along with re-opening the Scraaaatch™ & Catapilla™ online shops, which now offer shipping for our EU customers.

We've found a new HQ for making our Hicat® products & are going to be based in Southwark, just south of Tower Bridge in London.

This month's stock item is a Catapilla™ finished in Bleached Coir with Coloured Twist Pile internals - it's made up of a Purple Body+ unit & Green, Orange & Pink Body units.

We are very sorry to say that the Wallis Road building that has been our home since 2008 was sold recently & we have been told unexpectedly that we need to vacate by the end of the month.

Some of you will remember our special grey Concrete Coir finish that we imported a few years ago - this finish went down really well with our customers & we've been on the look out for a replacement ever since.

We started a design exercise a few years ago for a Cat's Cradle accessory to use with Polecat - the idea was to come up with a platform that could be retro-fitted to the unit to give some perching & sleeping options.

We've just received a wonderful note from Donatella at the L’Associazione Telefono Difesa Animali to say thank you for the Tomcat 4 that we donated last month...the charity's Facebook page says it all.

We've had an unusually high amount of special orders over the last few weeks & wanted to show off one in particular that is currently making it's way to Crace in Australia. 

We have two Tomcat 4 units that have been sitting in the workshop for what seems to be forever, one of which is the unit that we used in our photo shoot for our home page website images.

We've just finished this month's Stock Item, which is a Tall Bobcat & one of the first ever Hicat® units to be fabricated in the new Tibet Wild Cat Wool finish.

We've recently finished a very special Hicat® for a customer in New York - the piece was a custom design to mount over an extendable projection screen unit.

It's taken us 8 years to get our products where we want them to be & the last set of product improvements included larger tilting feet, oversized inserts in the base & top end caps along with some changes in fabrication techniques that give us the best results in forming & finishing our Hicat® units.

We've just made the draw for the prototype Catapilla unit that was up for grabs & the first nomination out of the hat was RSPCA Southall...congratulations to them!
